
Every year the Humpback Whales leave the icy waters that surround the Antarctic continent. They search for warmer and calmer waters in order to reproduce. From July to October, they are near to Morro de São Paulo, when is possible to take a look at their habits and observe mother whales and their babies.
This day-trip is a partnership with the Instituto Baleia Jubarte, an organization engaged in researching and preserving these mammals. By taking this trip, you are collaborating with the environmental awareness education, scientific researches and preservation of this wonderful species.

Itinerary
11:00 - Introductory lecture with biologists from the Instituto Baleia Jubarte.
11:30 - Departure to the open sea in search for the whales.
The trip is very similar to a safari. The open sea is the whale's natural habitat, so it is not possible to assure a sighting, although it happens almost every time. However, the behavior of the whales is unpredictable. Because of that there is a set of rigid rules to prevent the whales from being disturbed.
15:00 - Return to Morro de São Paulo harbour.
Cancellation policy
- You can only cancel it with no charges up to 18:00h of the day before the trip.
- Cancellation of payments in credit card will be charged 10%.
- No refunds in case of no-show.

Not recommended for children under 12 years.

- The whales are wild animals living in their natural habitat, so it is not possible to assure the sighting.
- The trip may be canceled if the sea does not meet the required conditions.
- This trip is only possible from July to October, when the Humpback Whales are in the region.
- Sickness preventive medication is recommended.
