It was the first hotel on the Fourth Beach and is managed by the couple who own it, Cantão and Dona Ana. They have lived on the island for over 20 years and personally take care of every detail of the hotel. Catavento has a large beachfront area and good structure: adult and kids swimming pool, tennis court, and other facilities. The strong points of the place are its beachfront area, as well as the breakfast area, reading room and other facilities, which all have a view of the beach. Since most of the hotels on Fourth Beach are resorts, compared to them Catavento has one of the lowest fares in this area. This hotel has - included in the rates - a shuttle to the Second Beach about seven times per day, day and night.

Cancellations can be requested until 32 days before check-in.
- In case of booking rescheduling in a period of one year, the value paid can be used without charges (paying the difference of rates' adjustments, if there is any)
- In case of refunds, a 20% fee will be charged
For cancellation requested in less than 32 days before check-in and No-shows: the total value of the booking will be charged
This cancellation policy does not apply for holidays and special packages.
Late check-out policy:
There is an additional supplement for late check out.
- Up to one hour - 50% of the day's rate will be charged.
- More than one hour - a full day's rate will be charged.
Children policy:
Free accommodation will be provided for one child up to five years old, staying in the parents' room.
